DASH (previously DRK) is what I’m backing from now on. I know there’s a lot of hype around it with the name change and all, but I believe it is going to surpass BTC.
I know everyone and their mother says that about their favorite altcoin, but here’s my take on it.
You can quote me (from my HashTalk account)that all the way from before Paycoin was even Paycoin, back when we were talking about “Hashcoin”, I said that success in crypto, above anything else, comes from what the coin can do.
Adoption and useability of course are important too, but what drives use is what the coin offers to the consumer.
“What can this coin do that cash, credit cards, and BTC can’t do” are the questions that make or break a coin.
(I was pushing for Paycoin to have features other than just fast block times and POS to no avail clearly )
DASH has instant transactions, the crown jewel of a mass-useable coin.
It has Darksend, which, like it or not, is probably the biggest reason this coin has taken off.
Anonymity was the big trophy that BTC carried around, until we realized that it’s not that hard to trace transactions.
The massive market for Anonymity is what has made DRK successful, and I think that the dev team changed it from “Darkcoin” to “Dash” because they wanted to get away from the public image of being a “Darknet coin” or something shady, but that’s exactly what has made it successful. Like it or not, the Darknet use of DASH will drive clearnet and public adoption.
I’m holding mine and putting it into this masternode asset for long-term hold, Josh doesn’t realize he has been beaten to the punch of creating a superior coin, DASH already surpasses BTC in every way except adoption, which will come rapidly.
