I'm planning on spending a lot of time between the UK and Spain this coming year, and to be honest, the idea of having to get a visa sorted doesn't bother me. I think of it more in terms of seeking someones permission before entering their home than anything else. It seems to me that it's respectful for me to say "Please may I come in", rather than just assuming a right of entry.
I think if the EU was capable of change then it'd be worth looking at, but it's not, it's been on one course the whole time it existed and it's still heading in that direction.
I love Europe. The EU though? Not so much.
