Scaling agreement may have something to do with recent price surgehttps://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-scaling-agreement-officially-met-segwit-2mb-hard-fork/
No more shopping with BTC at newegg.ca https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6emo5b/neweggca_no_longer_accepts_payment_in_bitcoin_as/
TX fee / Confirmation time is getting just too ridiculous.
BTC @ 2553$
buying anything with BTC the fees are crazy stupid, I don't know off any argument on how this could be good for the health and merchant adoption of BTC
Have seen absolutely no reason for merchant adoption. Keep seeing more merchants dropping BTC and going back to purely fiat options.
Definitely a complete drag and a move entirely away from the vision everyone seemed to share just 2 years ago.
BTC Market Dominance is dropping. Only value left for BTC, is the blockchain having the highest hashrate ( security ).
nothing personal, it just happens this was the first unread post I had for this thread...checking in to see how you feel about selling at that price i had about 13 btc at some point, but I think I sold them at around $400
not only that. It has name recognition. Most outsiders might have heard about bitcoin, but most certainly have not heard of any of the other coins.
agree, with the exception that those that accepted it early and kept it. they made good money if I want to send $5 to someone I have to pay a 50% fee crazy.. ( i know we all hate paypal, but they can do it for free, instantly)
aaaaand almost 3k now
Hitting 3K now, already, sheesh, wish I still had my mining rigs going. How long can it be before we get to 5K?Looking at getting an S9, was waiting till release date was closer but thinking of locking in price before it gets even more nuts.
it's been wild, i don't think anyone can predict it. it may go up another 1k or 2...or even go back to 1k, none of it makes sense though
I think BTC will go down another 1k before it goes up another 1k
At this point, ETH is a better runner
BTC @ 2689$ETH @ 391$
You're right, but this is about to change soon. I expect a explosion of utility coins
so....back to where it's at now?
not very familiar with that...what is it?
yeah, eth has had a much better run recently, but I wonder how much of that is justified or if it's simply because it has more room to grow
Alt-Coins will be more and more specialize to do a specific job. Cloud Storage, processing power, contract , private blockchain , Internet of Thing ( IoT ).
BTC with only branding as value won't compete much with other ( working ) Alt-Coin solutions
Good reading herehttps://forums.prohashing.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1541
BTC @ 2545$
BTC needs just a couple more $$ down, and my prediction of a few days ago will be right on the money!!! It happened much faster the I anticipated. But considering bitcoin's crappy fees and slower then a snail speeds it's deserving of a price below Doge coin.
Yep still a place to gamble, the problem with BTC is that the fee is killing it, the higher it rises the less of advantage it has
Hell the fees are so high with BTC, my dealer switched to LTC lol!
