I get why he's trying to stand up for Carlos if he has conflicting memories of what he knew of him, but I don't think he has a clear picture of what he's done in the last couple years. This friend of his was also deployed in the Marines and I can see the mentality of friendship and comradely that he received from the corps is misplaced on Carlos.
"I've got the gist of what Josh did wrong, but I'm no expert on it. So to think that Carlos, who has 0 experience in the computer/technical/data field, knew what was going on is ridiculous. He got screwed over and lost money just like everyone else."
So a non-technical, expert in Carlos's past, that has no ■■■■■■■ clue about how you can scam people. With just a couple mouse clicks or accepting credit card payments. Wants to assert poor Carlos was a victim of... circumstance and his up-bringing!?
Then I saw 'backintheday' say...
"And big deal he got a DUI. I SHOULD have about 10 of them, I'm just lucky and never got caught. However I no longer drive after drinking. (Thanks Uber)"
Cool, we know he doesn't mind putting others at risk for his behavior and didn't get caught. His Marines corps training and honor must of left him afterwards, because its the opposite of what I was taught. Congrats Carlos didn't give a ■■■■ about others either. Carlos got caught not just with a DUI, but as others point out. He flipped his car and it was lucky that no one else was involved this time.
"I just said he wasn't in cahoots with Josh."
He must of missed all the GAW leaked emails.
This 'backintheday' isn't telling us anything new and he should plead his perspective with Carlos's lawyer instead us. If he needs more people to tell him his opinion is worthless bullshit, then let him keep blathering. I remain unimpressed because its the same thing described about Josh.
